The Mists Never Forget

Session 1 · July 6, 2026

Echoes of Lost Legacies

Before the mist, there were five stories.

Helliax the Twice-dented was a farmer until one autumn night the mists took his wife, Elara, and his young son, Turuck. He has searched for them for years and refuses to believe they're dead. Somewhere in that search he found Selûne, the moon goddess, and her light is the only thing that keeps the dark from swallowing him.

Corso is a bard and the last survivor of more adventuring companies than he likes to count. He collects the stories of the dead. Arlek woke under a tree on the Sword Coast six months ago with no memory, a spellbook written in his own hand full of people and places he can't recall, and a habit of doodling windmills. Corso has been writing down the things Arlek says in his sleep.

Fiadh is a dhampir who plays taverns as a traveling bard while she quietly hunts for word of vampires. She talked Leona into joining her: a tiefling noblewoman who would rather swing a greatsword than sit through another etiquette lesson, carrying the weight of a deal her family struck with a fiend generations ago. The two of them fell in with Helliax and his search.

All five paths meet in Daggerford, a river-crossing town at the edge of somewhere else, just as the mist is due back.
