The Old Woman of the Caravan
Elder of the northern Vistani caravan
She took Fiadh's face in both hands and welcomed her home, then felt how cold her hands were. Once the knives were put away, she told Fiadh about Zorica. In the morning she offered her a cup of tea and a place in the family: not as a guest, as one of ours. She knows where Fiadh's father went and never said, because she didn't want Fiadh walking toward him.
