Fiadh Departed
Dhampir rogue, posing as a traveling bard
Fiadh plays violin and harp for coin in whatever tavern will have her, and the performance is real, but it's also cover. She's a rogue with blades tucked where a bard's tools should be, and she's hunting vampires. She was raised on the Sword Coast by an uncle and wears a cameo that belonged to her mother.
She carried the ghost of Rose Durst out of Death House after Leona passed the child to her with her last breath. In Barovia, Ireena told her she looks exactly like the Vistani, and Rahadin called her a half-breed. She went into Baba Lysaga's walking hut alone and came out with the gem.
Then Strahd told her he'd heard her song before, and that her mother played it better. Her mother, he said, was one of the few who could walk through the mists. Madam Eva's card sent her north: a caravan two days away will know her mother's name.
North of the road to Vallaki she found the caravan. They mistook her for her mother, welcomed her home, then felt her cold hands and called her an abomination. She laid her hands on the table palm up and told her friends the truth: she's a dhampir, born that way. Helliax tested it with holy water. An old woman told her about her mother, Zorica, and offered her a place in the family and a search for her father.
Before she left, she told Gesch that Leona was never kidnapped. Leona ran away, and Fiadh helped her. Then she said goodbye to each of them, and the party helped her family load the wagons. Fair winds, Fiadh.
