Corso Fallen

Corso collected the stories of the dead the way other people collect coins, and his fingers were ink-stained from a lifetime of writing them down. He traveled with Arlek, keeping a record of the things Arlek said in his sleep.

In Death House he was the reader and the musician. He found the invitation that named Barovia, woke the haunt by picking up a child's doll, and played the hidden sheet music on the harpsichord. The house took him somewhere between the library and the nursery. All that came back was his cloak, which Helliax folded like a flag, and one severed, ink-stained finger that Fiadh wrapped in a handkerchief. What was left of him was buried beside Leona at the ruined tower.
