Arlek Fallen

Arlek woke under a tree on the Sword Coast with no memory of his life, his robes, a few coins, and a spellbook in his own handwriting full of people and places he can't recall. He casts spells he doesn't remember learning and doodles windmills in the margins. A raven follows him.

In Death House, the windmills turned out to be the Durst family's sign, and when he tried to read an invitation naming the Village of Barovia, he collapsed screaming. He burned the shrine's shadows with fire he shaped himself.

Arlek died in Death House.
