Cassius

Cassius once guarded a church that believed faith should be forced on people. When he was ordered to help force it on a community that had harmed no one, he left. He wandered into Barovia, found a village under siege, and started clearing zombies from outside its walls with a taped-together shield before anyone asked.

He joined the party at the gate and fought at the east barricade in Leona's refitted armor. At Baba Lysaga's hut he warded Fiadh against fear and ordered the witch to halt. She laughed, walked across the water to him, and whispered that she will find him.

Since the mists, he can barely hear his god. Madam Eva drew him the Priest and told him the quiet isn't silence: in a valley where nothing answers prayers, be the answer. On the next road he opened with a natural 20 and didn't stop. He finally has his plate armor. On the road of blood he dealt 101 damage with one smite and spent the rest of the fight getting knocked down. At the caravan he stood between Fiadh and the knives and said, "Even her."
