Arik Fallen

Arik sent his wife and children to Vallaki and stayed to defend the village he was born in. He called the wound on his neck a nasty flu. Helliax called it a vampire bite and gave him a choice. The party walked him across the threshold of Barovia Church and nailed him into a room there, where he was confined when the party left the village. Doru couldn't turn him back. Arik went fully vampire in the cellar, screaming that he was starving, and Doru threw him live rats to quiet him. When the party came back, they went down and put him to rest. His wife is trying to reopen the Blood of the Vine.
